If you are anything like me you struggle with keeping things organized! Well today I am going to share how I organized my growing router bit collection. And it is a simple solution that will work for 1-16 bits, it is mobile and could be easily modified to fit with your space!
Welcome to my shop! If you have been following along for a while now you know that my workshop has changed drastically over the years and that I have made some pretty big improvements recently with the addition of my Modular Miter Station. I think the whole shop improvements thing is going to be a never-ending process as I am always looking at ways to improve my workflow and get more organized. So when Nite Ize offered to send me their DIY Life’s Adventure Kit I was excited to see what I could do with it.
Once I built my Modular Miter Station I knew I couldn’t stop there with my shop projects because I still had two major tools that didn’t have a home…. my Kreg Foreman and my Ridgid thickness planer. Both are pretty big tools and are a pain to have to move to a workbench when you need to use them so I came up with a plan to give them a permanent home and fit right in with my new shop furniture….. or Modular Miter Station. So this is de facto Phase 5!
Things tend to slow down for me in December as far as commissions. Most people are busy buying holiday presents and aren’t ready to think about that big furniture purchase. So this year I decide to dedicate basically the whole month of December to making over my workshop… aka garage shop! And I am so excited. Ever since I started building it has been so hard to make time to improve my work space… yeah I had made stuff here and there, but nothing with a real plan. Well this time I had a plan!
